Ayurvedic Truths & Rituals for Support

Knowing is only half the battle. That's why Ayurveda is a practice.

Let’s talk about Ayurveda, which, if you know nothing about, translates to “the knowledge of life.”

I am an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist, and I’ve been studying the natural wisdom of this ancient science for many years now.

Recently, someone that I don’t know, who also has some familiarity with Ayurveda, pegged me for the Vata-Pitta type I am, and warned me to be careful, because the problem with Vatas is that they get really excited about all the things, and then sometimes get themselves in over their head.

Straight-up annoyed that someone was preaching things I already know about myself to me like some sort of newb, my Pitta side fired up, and fist shaking, I was basically like, I’ll show him!

Honestly, had he not presented me with this very true, but also, self-perceived challenge, nothing would be different than it is right now. Because despite all my sage-wisdom and self-understanding, I still fall victim to my own shortcomings sometimes.

I get in over my head. Which is right about where I am right now.

Hence, my personal brands (Alex C. Wilson Wellness and Ritual Post) have taken a back seat to my community brands (Heart Space Yoga Collective, and SWFL Wellness Co.).

This always happens to me, and every time, I find myself in this oh-so familiar place of disappointment. And the Pitta in me wants to figure out a way to do it all. But my higher self knows that I cannot, because self-implosion is entirely possible.

So, for now, I am going to scale things back. Instead of a weekly newsletter, Ritual Post will become a monthly note from me to you. Still with the same intentions. Still with the same goals. Still with the same energy put into each individual note.

I created Ritual Post as an extension of my personal brand – so that I can continue with my personal mission, which is not only to help people see and appreciate the magic that exists all around us, but to create space for my fellow humans to develop, connect to, and embody their own personal brand of magic.

May the summer season bring you energy, abundance, connection, and joy.

With all my love,

Alex
