Welcome to a New Season of Ritual Post!

The cycle has shifted and I'm ready to come out and play.

I’m Baaaaaack

After a nearly 3-month long seasonal break for the summer, I suddenly feel the energy within me shifting. It’s time to come back into a more outward way of being.

Maybe it’s just the fact that being sick for three weeks, I’m tired of sitting around, or maybe it’s the transition from summer to fall, but I feel myself wanting to engage with people more, move my body more, have fun more, and take more risks. My heart feels full and putting her beating beauty out into the world feels exciting again.

Despite the fact that I’ve been slightly less outward over the last three months, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t been productive. I’ve been evaluating, learning, writing, growing, and recalibrating. They’ve been very informative months for me… very transformative. I think that’s the value that comes in moving with the seasons.

That’s not to say that they’ve been easy. There were many times that I’d forgotten about my inward shift. Times when I put silent pressure on myself to come back out into the world, even though it didn’t feel right just yet. There were times when I questioned myself and everything I’ve been doing over the last year. Times when I wanted to quit.

But when the energetic shift came, I knew. I suddenly remembered — oh yeah, this inward shift was intentional. It was supposed to be that way. And now it’s time to put myself out there again — while it feels good to do so.

Now that I’ve had the time to integrate everything I’ve learned over the last few months, I’m excited to come back to this space where I get to connect and share with you all in this way.

I’m also excited to do all the things that come with this more outward way of being, and I intend on taking FULL advantage of these next few months before the inward shift of winter comes for me in December.

I have ideas and plans for this season — things that I will talk about openly in time. But for now, I’m still planning and scheming and figuring out how to approach this cycle with structure and order and balance.

For now, I’ll just share a few little life updates with you before I sign off…

  1. I finished my novel. I ACTUALLY FINISHED IT! I’m so excited and over the next few months I will be pursuing the (fittingly) more outward part of trying to become a published author… putting my work out there! Wish me luck, and stay tuned to see how things go.

  2. I’m moving! Not far though. Earle and I will be moving in with my sister come January 1st. She has a big house that she lives in all by herself, and life has gotten expensive. So we’re all grateful for this opportunity to expand our households, and save some money together.

  3. We added a new class to the schedule at Ritual Space — one where you might even catch me teaching from time to time! It’s a weekly class every Sunday, and the intention behind it is to create a consistent space fore people to come connect, reset, and get inspired for the week ahead. Each month focuses on a specific theme, and each week, we feature a different teacher to present their take on that theme and teach a class to go along with it. The first and third Sunday will be movement-based classes (like yoga) and the 2nd and 4th week will be classes that involve more stillness and restorative offerings (like reiki, hypnosis, breathwork, etc…). If you’re local to Fort Myers, I hope you’ll consider joining us for this “Sunday Service” inspired class, every Sunday at 11am.

Okay, that’s it for now! Thanks so much for “giving me space” while I took the last few months to shift focus and rest. I’m so excited for this new season and I look forward to writing to you each week.

xoxo,

Alex
